On Hold - Small Italian Walnut Sideboard in Light Blue Paint
A small Italian sideboard of unusually compact scale, in walnut painted a soft light blue, with two doors and two frieze drawers. The doors carry double sculpted panels in relief, framed by side pillars, and the painted surface has mellowed to a beautiful patina that gives the piece its relaxed, sun-washed charm. Slim and shallow, it fits where almost no other sideboard can: a hallway, a bathroom, a breakfast nook, or a small dining room, offering real storage behind its doors and drawers without crowding the space. Painted Italian pieces of this scale and character are increasingly hard to find, and the color lifts any wall it stands against. The doors and drawers operate properly, with wear consistent with age and use.
