A refined round French tea and game table from the Louis XVI era, a sublime example of Parisian cabinetmaking. The elegant round structure rests on slender truncated pyramid legs embellished with elegant gilded bronzes. The top is a true masterpiece of figurative marquetry, where different woods—including rosewood, violetwood, and palisander—are expertly combined to create a delicate 18th-century interior scene with figures. The top can be raised, enabling it to serve both a tea and game table. The side of the table is decorated with a perspective cube motif and features four drawers. Originally conceived as a transforming table, it could be used for both tea and games, reflecting the dual aesthetic and functional vocation of aristocratic 18th-century French furniture
