Dutch Rococo 1780s Walnut Vitrine with Bombé Chest, Glass Doors, Hunting Trophy

A Dutch Rococo period walnut vitrine cabinet from the late 18th century, with hand carved hunting trophy, glass doors and bombé chest. Born in the Netherlands in the later years of the 18th century, this exquisite Rococo cabinet features a bonnet-shaped cornice, adorned in its center with a carved ribbon-tied hunting trophy. Two large doors with glass panels open to reveal inner shelves perfect to display decorative objects, while the cabinet's lower section is made of a bombé chest presenting three veneered drawers each fitted with exquisite bronze hardware. The canted sides are separated from the façade by delicate fluted semi-columns with corinthian capitals. With its sinuous Rococo lines and great proportions, this Dutch vitrine cabinet circa 1780 will be a spectacular focal point in any home, particularly in a living room.
