An English brass bankers balance scale from the 19th century. Born in England during the 19th century, this elegant brass bankers scale features a central shaft, connected in its upper section with a horizontal balance beam. This beam is supporting two circular pans with links, hung through small hooks while the scale is resting on a curving base.
