F E Becker & Co English Pharmaceutical Cased Scale
English Apothecary Cased Scale dating back to early 20th century by the F. E. Becker & Co , widely used by jewelers to measure gold. This type of scale was also used to measure medicines and chemicals as pharmaceutical scale. The front panel raises to expose the scale. Both on the plate and the base of the scale we find F. E. Becker & Co - W. & J. George Ltd - Proprietors - Hatton Wall - London.
Founded in 1872, the company was active in London till 1950.
It is in good condition and dates from the early decades of the 1900s.
