A French oak trumeau mirror from the mid-18th century with carved rinceaux and floral bouquet. Created in France during the 1750s, this oak trumeau mirror attracts our attention with its two large rinceaux from which are hanging grapes. From their center, a slender wicker basket is emerging, adorned with a bouquet of delicate flowers. Surrounded by carved moldings, the upper panel is separated from the mirror (added later) by fluted and reeded motifs. With its skillfully executed decor and dark oak patina, this trumeau mirror circa 1750 will bring an elegant presence to any home, perhaps hung above an enfilade, credenza or console table.
