A pair of nineteenth-century French cast iron urns with scalloped rims and ribbed bodies. Each urn presents a scalloped rim above a ribbed body — surface treatments that provide visual movement and textural contrast within a classical silhouette. Lion head masks on opposite sides of each urn hold cast iron rings, adding a note of heraldic ornament characteristic of French nineteenth-century decorative ironwork. The whole is set on a pedestal base with a square plinth. The cast iron has developed a rich, aged patina that deepens the visual character of the piece. A commanding pair suited to a formal garden, entrance hall, or terrace. Offered as a pair.
