French 19th Century Red and Soft Green Aubusson Tapestry with Floral Décor

A French Royal Manufacture of Aubusson woven tapestry from the 19th century, featuring floral motifs in red, light green, and brown tones. Created in central France, this tapestry showcases a central scrolling cartouche surrounding a delicate bouquet of white roses and light pink flowers, beautifully set against a red background. A light green border adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves and campanulas mimics the effect of a carved frame. The Aubusson Manufacture, established in the 15th century and designated a Royal Manufacture in the 16th, produced renowned tapestries to enhance interiors, including the famous "The Lady and the Unicorn." In the 21st century, Aubusson was recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Our 19th-century French Aubusson tapestry, showcasing minor imperfections, will beautifully enliven any room when hung in a living area or stairway.
