French circa 1890 Anduze Vase
A French Anduze vase, Provence, circa 1890. The classic Anduze form is fully expressed here: a wide, flared rim above gently tapering sides, the whole raised on a pedestal base that provides both stability and visual elevation. The glaze presents warm amber tones with earthy green drips — the characteristic two-tone finish that identifies authentic Anduze production. Applied medallions and decorative garlands further embellish the surface, marking the piece as a product of the traditional Anduze workshops that supplied the great gardens of southern France for generations. A patina of age and natural wear confirm the piece's genuine history. A handsome single example in the great Anduze tradition.
