A French eight-light crystal chandelier from the late 19th century, with dark metal armature. Born in France in the later years of the 19th century during the Belle Époque era, this exquisite chandelier features a central crystal column, accented with a variety of crystals, from clear drops to French pendeloques. The lower canopy supports the eight metal scrolling arms with cupped bobèches and candles sleeves, their dark hue contrasting beautifully with the translucent quality of the crystal accents. The chandelier's lower section is adorned with a round crystal finial who brings a perfect visual conclusion to the ensemble. With its graceful lines and perfectly contrasting colors, this late 19th century French chandelier will enliven any room, perhaps hung in a living room, dining room or bedroom. It has been wired for the US and is ready to be hung.
