A nineteenth-century Italian wardrobe of solid cherrywood, finished in a softly aged blue lacquer of well-proportioned, smaller scale. The shaped cornice leads to paneled doors flanked by turned lateral columns, adding architectural depth to the facade. Finely molded panels are carried consistently through the doors and lower drawer for visual continuity. Of particular note are the original hardware fittings: a rare double lock on the lower drawer and a full-length Cremonese locking mechanism on the doors — both preserved in working order, a rarity at this age. The interior retains its original wrought-iron hanging pole. An unusually complete and intact example of Italian nineteenth-century case furniture. Measures 47¾ inches wide, 19¾ inches deep, 85⅛ inches tall.
