Good quality large piece of traditional Swedish furniture which would have been used to store the household blankets and linen. Original Swedish blue paint scheme, with iron corner brackets and carrying handles. Hinged lid opens to reveal a partially lined paper interior, with plenty of room for everyday storage. Having a desirable flat lid, means this chest can double up as a tv unit or even a tall coffee table.
