Ephraim Ståhl, born November 22, 1768, died May 10, 1820, was a chairmaker in Stockholm and master of the Chairmakers' Guild from 1794 to 1820.
Ephraim Ståhl worked during the reigns of Gustav IV Adolf, Karl XIII, and even into the reign Karl XIV John. The Royal Household Chamber ordered a lot of chairs from his workshop. His furniture can be seen at places like Stockholm Palace, Gripsholm, Tullgarn Palace, Rosersberg, and the National Museum. A distinctive feature of his style is the chair legs ending in goat feet, lion paws, or swan beaks.
