Pair of English 19th Century Cast-Iron Garden Urns
Made in England in the nineteenth century, this pair of cast-iron garden urns has twin scrolled handles and is finished in antique white paint. Each urn has a traditional decorative rim and a fluted bowl, and stands on a square base. Cast iron was a favoured material for Victorian garden ornament, allowing crisp decorative detail and durability for outdoor use. The scrolled handles and fluted bowls give the urns a classical character, while the white painted finish suits a garden or terrace setting. The condition is reported as good.
