A pair of English cast stone swan planters, circa 1950, retaining their original colors beneath a fine weathered patina. The swans are modeled with charming naturalism, their arched necks and folded wings framing generous planting wells, a form that enjoyed great popularity in mid-century English gardens and has become genuinely collectible since. Decades outdoors have softened the surfaces with the lichen tones and gentle wear that give vintage garden ornament its irreplaceable character.
