A Swedish writing desk in grey paint, circa 1890 to 1910, with a spacious top over five lockable drawers, their fronts decorated with horizontal millings and brass hardware, raised on sturdy oak legs with double-milled detailing. All locks are original and functional, with one key included. The grey painted surface has the quiet, matte character that lets Swedish desks slip into nearly any room, working as a writing table, a dressing table, or a generous console against a wall. The kneehole arrangement keeps everyday clutter behind closed drawer fronts. The drawers run properly and the desk stands firm, with wear consistent with age and use.
