A classic pair of Gustavian-style commodes
A classic pair of antique Swedish Gustavian-style commodes, beautifully crafted from pine and featuring the clean lines and understated elegance characteristic of Gustavian design. Each chest has two spacious drawers, accented with decorative panels and traditional brass handles. A distinctive serrated decorative molding runs beneath the tops, adding architectural detail. The chamfered corners are finished with finely milled edges, while the classic tapered legs create a graceful and balanced silhouette. The original locks have been removed over time, reflecting the pieces’ age and history. With their timeless proportions, refined detailing, and traditional Swedish craftsmanship, these commodes make a versatile addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors, ideal for use as bedside chests or elegant accent pieces in any room.
