English 19th Century Victorian Wirework Plant Stand
Made in England in the nineteenth century, this Victorian wirework plant stand has a basket-design upper tray and decorative supports. Wirework plant furniture was popular in the Victorian period for conservatories and garden rooms, valued for its light, open structure and decorative form. This substantial stand is of good size and in good condition, with the basket-design tray providing a container for plants and the decorative supports giving the piece its ornamental character. Suited equally to a conservatory, garden room, porch, or terrace, the stand also works indoors near a window where plants need light.
