Born in France during the 19th century, this exquisite decorative egg features an oval lid beautifully adorned with a putto holding a delicate flower in each hand, a thin blue cloth resting on his thigh. He is surrounded by a hand painted décor of colorful bouquets of flowers accented by a raised garland of pink roses. The lower section showcases a scalloped base with gilt highlights and the underside presents the Sèvres mark with the royal cipher showcasing two interlaced Ls surrounding a central S. With its lovely colors and graceful lines, this French Sèvres Porcelain egg will bring a lovely decorative touch to any living room or bedroom.
