Italian 19th century inlaid walnut sorrento table circa 1890.
Fine quality octagonal table beautiful inlaid with olive, walnut and various specimen woods.
Stunning geometric design with fans is way out from the centre, inlaid with contrasting coloured veneers to create a stunning pattern. Further inlay to the edge and freize. Supported on a turned walnut stem base, with further inlay and a turned finial to the bottom. Raised on 3 scrolled legs, complete with even more inlay.
Rich golden colour, recently restored in our workshop.
Minor restorations to woodwork. Due to the natural construction of these tables and the wood used, there is some natural warping to the stem, this has been countered and the top surface sits straight.
