Created in Sweden during the third quarter of the 19th century, this painted chest features a rectangular raised top with canted corners sitting above three drawers fitted with Classical oval-shaped hardware. Flanked with canted side posts accented with foliage motifs and raised on short tapered feet angled in the front, the chest is painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes.
